Go to https://tableau.duke.edu/getting/index.php, and click on “I am a full-time Duke student or instructor” then a paragraph should drop down and click on the “free 1-year license” link.
Scroll down to section labeled Students and click “Learn More”. Then click “Get Tableau For Free”. Fill out information and follow remaining instructions - you should get an email with a license number and installation instructions.
